Toyo Engineering Korea awarded PBI BDx Project in IndonesiaFeb. 1, 2017

Toyo Engineering Korea Limited (Toyo Korea) has been awarded the Engineering & Supply Contract for Butadiene Expansion Project on January 23, 2017. This project is the expansion of current Butadiene plant from 100,000 ton/year to 137,282 ton/year in Cilegon, Banten by PT Petrokimia Butadiene Indonesia (PBI), a subsidiary of PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical, the country’s largest petrochemical company. The client will invest approximately US$42 million into the plant project, which is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2018.

Toyo Korea executed the existing Butadiene plant as a turn-key EPCC Contract in 2014 based on Lummus/BASF technology and, utilizing its accumulated knowledge of the existing plant, conducted Front End Engineering Design for expansion in June, 2016 and has successfully entered to have CONTRACT for the expansion project through transparent and reliable proposal.
