Toyo Engineering Korea’s participation into Saudi Arabia ABEOP projectDec. 15, 2011

On August 25, 2011, Toyo has been awarded as a prime contractor to provide engineering, procurement and construction by Al-Jubail Fertilizer Company (Al-Bayroni), an affiliate company of SABIC, for Al-Bayroni’s existing ammonia plant located in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, which was originally built in the 1980s utilizing KBR’s ammonia technology. Al-Bayroni is a 50/50 SABIC joint venture formed in 1971 with Taiwan Fertilizer Company.
The 1st completion of steam turbine is scheduled within 20 (twenty) months from the effective date of August 25, 2011, and the 2nd completion of Boiler is scheduled within 27 (twenty seven) months base on the LOI.
The main objective of this project is to reduce the energy consumption in Ammonia plant and offsite packaged boilers by increasing the efficiency. Consequently the plant capacity is maintained the same of 1,300 MT/D as the existing plant by saving fuel energy.
Scope of work to be executed by Toyo is divided such as 1) execute engineering, procurement & field engineering by Toyo-K, 2) execute construction by Toyo-I and 3) project management by Toyo-J as Global Toyo Operation.
At the moment, SABIC resident team, Toyo-J and Toyo-K’s project team are working at new separate office to carry out this project to achieve the successful completion in spite of the tight project schedule.

In this regard, Toyo has mobilized proper manpower timely and organized project execution team in advance.
Toyo will do the best to complete this project successfully under the spirit of Global Toyo.
