Aromatics

Summary

An aromatics complex is a combination of process units that can be used to convert petroleum naphtha and pyrolysis gasoline feedstocks into the basic petrochemical intermediates such as benzene, toluene, and xylene (BTX).

Features

The purified Aromatics (Benzene, Toluene, Mixed Xylene) are produced from Pyrolyis Gasoline (PG). This process is composed of three (3) process units and one (1) tank storage unit generally. The licensors, Axens & UOP, has supplied the basic design scheme and information for three units, Axens Hydrotreating unit and UOP Sulfolane Extraction & BTX Fractionation units.
