TOYO's history in China

Since founding in 1961, Toyo Engineering Corporation, a world leading engineering company, has implemented more than 1500 projects on the global stage, mainly in the field of plant engineering, meeting various customers' needs in a flexible manner in terms of market, region, product, and so forth under a variety of contract schemes. Since TOYO entered Chinese Engineering Market in 1972, its engineering business has been expanding rapidly and gained abundant experience of more than 200 projects execution in China.

Toyo Engineering Corporation (China) was established on Sep, 2004 as a subsidiary of TOYO, holds the construction license and engineering design license issued by the Chinese government, aiming to provide local project execution optimization and more convenient communication channel toward to clients. TOYO, through the local organization provides Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services under various of contracts in the field of Petrochemical, Chemical as well as Industrial Facility.

1972 Contract for 300,000T/Y ethylene plant for Yanshan Beijing. This was the first world scale petrochemical plant contract in People Republic of China.
1980 Established Beijing Representative office.
1985 Established J/V in Japan with Chinese Design Institute (Huanqiu) and Trading Company (CNTIC). Aimed for utilizing Chinese Design Resource. Strategic approach for the project in China.
1998 Established J/V with Chinese Construction Company (KAITIAN) in Shanghai for Consulting business for foreign investors.
2000 Established J/V with Chinese Software Developing Company (Blue Net) in Shenzhen.
2002 Awarded the 100th project in China.
2002 Established 100% Toyo owned subsidiary in Shanghai with consulting and procurement license.
2004 Established 100% Toyo owned Construction Company in Shanghai.
2005 Obtain the construction license and safety production license in China.
2008 Obtain the engineering license in China as the first foreign invested engineering company.
2009 Obtain the procurement license as the first foreign invested engineering company in the petrol-chemical engineering field in China
