Toyo Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. (Toyo-India) in consortium with Toyo Engineering Corporation, Japan, (TOYO) has bagged the contract with scope broadly; License/Technology, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning on LumpSum Turnkey basis, for setting up a large-scale fertilizer complex in Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh state, India.
This fertilizer complex comprising, Ammonia (2,200 tons/day) and Urea (3,850 tons/day) plants with associated offsite & utilities, will be setup by Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL), scheduled to be completed by end of year 2020. Urea plant is based on TOYO’s “ACES 21®” technology and Ammonia plant is based on technology from Kellogg Brown & Root LLC., U.S.A.
This fertilizer complex is part of Government of India’s initiative to promote “MAKE IN INDIA” and also to revive old fertilizer plants. For this initiative, HURL is formed through joint venture of Coal India Limited (CIL), NTPC Limited (NTPC) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) as the lead promoters with Fertilizer Corporation of India Limited (FCIL) and Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Limited (HFCL) as other two partners.
